OUR PROCESS
Every step is guided by care, expertise, and respect for nature.

01 Tea Fields
Our journey begins in the tea fields of Japan, where carefully cultivated tea plants are grown with patience and attention before every harvest.

02 Shade Grown
Before harvest, the tea plants are shaded to naturally develop richer umami, gentle sweetness, and their vibrant green color.

03 Harvest
Harvested at peak freshness, the youngest tea leaves are carefully gathered to preserve their delicate aroma and pristine flavor of the season’s first flush.

04 Quality Selection
Each harvest is carefully inspected before processing. Only tea leaves that meet our standards for quality, balance, and character continue the journey to become RINSUI matcha.

05 Steaming
Fresh leaves are steamed shortly after harvest to preserve their vibrant color, delicate aroma, and fresh character before drying.

06 Final Milling
After careful processing, the selected tencha are milled into an exceptionally fine powder. This final step helps preserve the matcha’s vibrant color, delicate aroma, and signature smooth mouthfeel.

Artisanal Blend — Our most versatile everyday ceremonial matcha. Ideal for both traditional usucha and creamy lattes, making it the perfect entry point if you are new to RINSUI.
Spring Harvest Blend — A sweeter, softer profile with elevated complexity. Best enjoyed as traditional usucha to appreciate its delicate first-flush notes.
Master Collection — Our pinnacle ceremonial grade, crafted for connoisseurs seeking profound depth, rich umami, and a lingering, elegant finish.
Yes, absolutely. Many people assume ceremonial matcha is overly intense or bitter, but our blends are intentionally cultivated to be smooth, balanced, and easy to prepare.
If you are selecting your first tin, we recommend starting with our Artisanal Blend.
Yes. For daily morning lattes, we recommend our Artisanal Blend for its vibrant, balanced body that cuts through milk effortlessly.
If you prefer a naturally sweeter, softer latte, Spring Harvest Blend is an exceptional alternative.
While the Master Collection can be paired with milk, its subtle nuances are best appreciated when whisked traditionally with hot water.
Our matcha is sourced from some of Japan’s most respected tea-growing regions, with each blend selected for its own unique character.
We partner directly with historic heritage farms that honor centuries-old shade-growing and stone-milling traditions alongside modern quality control standards.
